![]() Democrats Abroad Who we are and what we do Democrats Abroad is the official arm of the Democratic Party for more than seven million Americans living overseas. With eight members on the Democratic National Committee and 25 delegates to the Convention, DA has the same standing as any state party organization. (In fact if Americans abroad were a state, we would be the 13th largest in the union!)
Democrats Abroad Netherlands is one of 70 country groups around the world, organizing local events and activities to encourage participation in the U.S. political process. Meet our Executive Committee. Voter outreach Our volunteers are trained to help all Americans exercise their right to vote from overseas. We assist at events, and have also been part of the driving force behind the creation of the online voter registration tool, www.VoteFromAbroad.org - an easy-to-use program that respects your privacy (no information is collected or stored). If you would like to volunteer to help, contact us by e-mail. Speakers on Sunday Join us as we meet and discuss issues with guest speakers in The Hague. In the past, we welcomed Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, best-selling author William Rivers Pitt and award-winning investigative journalist Greg Palast. To receive notifications, request to receive "announcements" by contacting us by e-mail. DemsFun Drinks Let's put the party back in the party! Each month, Dems ages 18 to 80+ meet for drinks at a local cafe in Amsterdam. And from time to time, we organize special events for members (with drinks!) in The Hague and Groningen. It's a great way to make new friends. See our calendar for dates and times. See you there! Facebook & Expatica Join Democrats Abroad on Facebook. You can sign up for the international Facebook page, and join the thousands of Democrats around the world who enjoy receiving important news directly in their feed. We also urge you to join our iVoteFromAbroad page - and share your voting location with everyone else. And don't forget your local Democrats Abroad chapter's Facebook group! Thanks to Expatica, our members can discuss the issues of the day with the world on the Democrats Abroad Netherlands Forum. Join in the discussions and visit our forum here! |
